Chesca's is a family owned and run restaurant, created by Chef Jo Maxwell in 1994. Jo hired and (and later married!) Chef David Joyce, forming the partnership that sustains Chesca's as a Vineyard favorite. David Joyce graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and worked as a chef at restaurants in the Boston area for twenty years. Jo Maxwell opened her first restaurant at age 18. She moved to the Vineyard during the 1980's to open the former David Ryan's Restaurant in Edgartown.
We are proud to retain island-resident staff who have served Vineyard customers for more than 18 years, as well as returning summer employees and exceptional student interns. We consider our crew part of the family and hire nice people to join our team!
QUALIFICATIONS for SERVERS: 2 years or more of fine-dining experience.
